What is Steps for Students?
Steps for Students 5K is an annual Archdiocesan-wide event that raises awareness of Catholic education and provides much needed funds for our Catholic Schools. Steps for Students is an opportunity for all members of the Faith community to work together to support education of mind, heart, and spirit in the many Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
What does Steps for Students Support?
Catholic Schools. Steps for Students gives us the opportunity to raise funds for our school. By registering and joining our school team, you can designate your registration fee and any pledges you collect to benefit our school. 100% of the donations raised by this event are returned to our school! (Minus a minimal processing fee.) Also, 100% of the money raised by each student/family goes towards their fundraising goal. The funds raised from this event will support the SHCS Athletic and P.E. Departments.
Why do our families, schools, parishes and sponsors participate in Steps for Students?
Because they realize that Catholic schools are making a difference in the lives of our students and in our communities. So get started by registering for our school team and begin asking for pledges from family and friends! There will be various incentives for the students to encourage them to get involved and fund raise for their school!
If you have any questions, please contact Shannon Lien, P.E. Teacher.
